The election of the year is here! Twelve lighthouses are the final candidates from among 49 nominees in the JELD-WEN® Reliable Lighthouse Restoration Initiative. Community support is very important in preserving lighthouses, so we invite you once again to help select one lighthouse to win new JELD-WEN windows and doors. Please review these final candidates and vote on or before September 7, 2008. Feel free to forward this page to friends and neighbors in your community. One person, one vote, and every vote counts!
In 2005, JELD-WEN began the JELD-WEN Reliable Lighthouse Restoration Initiative to prove the reliability of our windows and doors — even in coastal climates — by helping to save historic lighthouses for their communities. Today our Custom Wood windows and Custom Fiberglass doors are protecting the Wind Point Lighthouse in Wisconsin, the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse in Maryland, and the Umpqua River Lighthouse in Oregon.
